CNC Gun Drilling Machines for High L/D Precision Holes

Designed for shafts, molds, valve parts, medical components and automotive parts requiring stable small-diameter deep-hole drilling. Machine layout, station count and chip evacuation are selected from the workpiece—not from a generic model list.

Typical machining rangeHole diameter approximately 3–40 mm; drilling depth up to 3,000 mm; high L/D applications evaluated by material, diameter, straightness and coolant conditions.
Accuracy and finishHole tolerance, straightness and surface roughness are confirmed through drawing review and trial processing; typical gun-drilled finish can reach approximately Ra 0.8–3.2 μm.

Standalone or Parallel-Production Configuration

  • Standalone configuration: prototypes, mixed parts, difficult materials and maximum setup flexibility.
  • Parallel-production configuration: stable part family, repeat volume, shorter takt time and automated production cells.

  • Standard: CNC system, drilling spindle, high-pressure coolant, filtration, guide bush and enclosure.
  • Optional: multiple stations, rotary indexing, automatic loading, tool monitoring, custom fixtures and inspection integration.

Delivery and Acceptance

  1. Submit hole diameter, depth, material, drawing, tolerance and required cycle.
  2. Confirm station layout, tooling, coolant and chip-control plan.
  3. Factory acceptance using agreed workpiece or representative sample.
  4. Installation, programming and maintenance training, spare-parts and remote support.

What drawing and hole data should I submit?

Provide the workpiece drawing, material and hardness, hole diameter and depth, entry and exit conditions, tolerance, straightness and surface requirements, batch size and target inspection method.

How are guidance, coolant, chip evacuation and fixtures reviewed?

The process review checks guide support, high-pressure coolant and filtration, chip path, spindle and tool interface, fixture rigidity, part loading and the required production sequence.

How are trials and acceptance records agreed?

Define the trial workpiece, tool and coolant conditions, measuring instruments, inspection locations, report format and signed acceptance criteria before production release.
