CNC Gun Drilling Machine Manufacturer
This page covers the gun-drilling sub-process. If the process is not yet selected, start with the Deep Hole Drilling Machine selection guide.
CNC Gun Drilling Machines for High L/D Precision Holes
Designed for shafts, molds, valve parts, medical components and automotive parts requiring stable small-diameter deep-hole drilling. Machine layout, station count and chip evacuation are selected from the workpiece—not from a generic model list.
| Typical machining range | Hole diameter approximately 3–40 mm; drilling depth up to 3,000 mm; high L/D applications evaluated by material, diameter, straightness and coolant conditions. |
|---|---|
| Accuracy and finish | Hole tolerance, straightness and surface roughness are confirmed through drawing review and trial processing; typical gun-drilled finish can reach approximately Ra 0.8–3.2 μm. |
| Materials and industries | Carbon/alloy steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper alloys and mold steel; automotive, mold, medical, hydraulic, aerospace and general precision engineering. |
Standalone or Parallel-Production Configuration
- Standalone configuration: prototypes, mixed parts, difficult materials and maximum setup flexibility.
- Parallel-production configuration: stable part family, repeat volume, shorter takt time and automated production cells.
Configuration
- Standard: CNC system, drilling spindle, high-pressure coolant, filtration, guide bush and enclosure.
- Optional: multiple stations, rotary indexing, automatic loading, tool monitoring, custom fixtures and inspection integration.
Delivery and Acceptance
- Submit hole diameter, depth, material, drawing, tolerance and required cycle.
- Confirm station layout, tooling, coolant and chip-control plan.
- Factory acceptance using agreed workpiece or representative sample.
- Installation, programming and maintenance training, spare-parts and remote support.
