Gun drilling and BTA process review
Guanghe configures deep hole drilling equipment around material, hole diameter, depth-to-diameter relationship, entry condition, rotation, coolant and chip evacuation.
Reference ranges are selection aids. Final feasibility and performance require workpiece, tooling, process and inspection review.
Deep hole drilling is normally reviewed when a long bore must be created from solid material or an agreed starting condition. Gun drilling and BTA use different tool, coolant and chip-evacuation arrangements.
| Reference family | Current documented reference | Selection boundary |
|---|---|---|
| ZK2102/03 | Drilling reference Ø10–35 mm; reference depth up to 2,000 mm | Single-head reference family; do not treat it as a multi-station configuration. |
| ZK2102/03 page values | H8–H11 and Ra ≤ 1.6 μm are website references | Not an unconditional guarantee; bind values to material, tool, depth, coolant and inspection method. |
| BTA drilling solution | Process family confirmed; a complete standard envelope is not approved for this page | Diameter, depth, coolant and interface boundaries require engineering confirmation. |
Gun drilling is commonly evaluated for relatively small-diameter long bores with external chip evacuation. BTA is evaluated for suitable larger-bore applications using an internal chip-removal route. The changeover point is not determined by diameter alone.
Material, depth, output, coolant supply, tool interface and machine layout all affect the process choice.
Geometry, material and starting condition.
Tool, chip route, guidance and rotation.
Supports, coolant, filtration, loading and automation.
Test piece, measurement length, instrument and limits.
Current website data supports a reference configuration and process route. Final values require a project-specific technical agreement.
An anonymized buyer-confirmed record documents a double-spindle ZK2102 configuration. It proves the ordered configuration, not delivery or machining performance.

Send the material, starting condition, diameter, depth, geometry, quality requirements, output target and drawing.
Provide material, starting condition, diameter, depth, geometry, tolerance, coolant boundary, quantity and drawing.
No. Diameter, material, entry condition, depth, interruption and chip evacuation must be reviewed.
No. They are selection references until confirmed in signed project documents with the measurement method.
