CNC Deep Hole Boring Machine Manufacturer
Guanghe configures deep hole boring machines around the existing bore, stock allowance, final diameter, straightness, surface requirement, workpiece support and inspection method.
Process Selection Before Machine Selection
Existing bore required
Confirm whether the starting bore is drilled, cast, forged or thermally distorted, and record the minimum available allowance.
Correction objective
Define whether the main purpose is diameter enlargement, straightness correction, geometry recovery, surface improvement or preparation for honing/SRB.
Push or pull boring
The tooling direction and support arrangement are selected from the part, bore condition, chip flow, accuracy and machine layout.
Workpiece Parameter Matrix
| Required input | Why it changes the machine proposal |
|---|---|
| Starting bore condition | Solid, pre-drilled, cast or forged bores require different drilling, boring and finishing routes. |
| Diameter, depth and L/D ratio | Defines process family, spindle/tool support, coolant system and chip evacuation. |
| Material and hardness | Controls tool grade, cutting data, chip formation and expected tool life. |
| Diameter tolerance, straightness and position | Determines whether drilling alone is sufficient or boring/honing is required. |
| Surface roughness and stock allowance | Determines the finishing process and number of passes. |
| Part envelope, weight and annual volume | Defines bed length, clamping, single/multi-station layout and automation level. |
Typical Workpieces and Industries
Typical evaluations include hydraulic cylinder components, long sleeves, heavy-machine parts, energy equipment parts and repaired or semi-finished bores. Material, heat treatment, part weight and clamping surfaces must be confirmed before the process is selected.
Single-Station, Multi-Station and Automation
Single-station equipment is appropriate for larger parts, mixed batches or processes requiring independent adjustment. Multi-station equipment is considered for repeat part families when fixture repeatability, coolant capacity, chip control and inspection can be maintained. Automation is specified only after the base process and acceptance method are agreed.
Standard and Optional Configuration
| Planning group | Items to confirm |
|---|---|
| Base machine | Bed, spindle/headstock arrangement, feed system, guards, coolant circulation and chip collection. |
| Tool and workpiece support | Guide bushes, steady rests, fixtures, tool supports and part rotation according to the workpiece. |
| Controls and monitoring | CNC system, alarms, pressure/flow monitoring, tool-life monitoring and data interfaces. |
| Options | Automatic loading, indexing, additional stations, filtration upgrades, oil cooling and inspection integration where the process requires them. |
Delivery, Acceptance, Installation and Training
Boring acceptance should define the datum, measurement sections, minimum/maximum stock, final size, straightness, roundness, cylindricity where required, roughness and the named measuring tools.
The proposal should state the drawing revision, test piece, material, tool, coolant, measuring instrument, sample size and acceptance limits. Delivery, installation, operator training, maintenance training and after-sales boundaries must be written into the commercial and technical documents.
